Our Houses at Southdale

• At our school, every child and member of staff belongs to one of our four House Groups: Stags, Wolves, Owls or Falcons. Our House system plays an important role in building a strong sense of community, teamwork and school spirit.

  When children join the school, they are placed in a House, with siblings always allocated to the same House. Throughout the year, children can earn House Points from any member of staff for demonstrating our school values, working hard and making positive choices.

  Our older pupils also have the opportunity to develop their leadership skills by putting themselves forward for the roles of House Captain and Vice Captain. These pupils help to lead and organise four exciting House Days each year, encouraging collaboration, friendship and healthy competition across the school.

  House pride is celebrated during whole-school events, including Sports Day and House Days, where children are encouraged to wear their House colours and support their team. At the end of the school year, the House with the most points is awarded the coveted House Cup.

  Our House system helps to create a welcoming, inclusive school community where every child feels they belong and has the opportunity to contribute to their team's success.
